Anyone looking for commercial property to rent or buy in London may wish to look to Hackney, where you can get property in a relatively central location without the price tag of the inner City. Located in the borough of East London, around four miles away from the centre of London, Hackney has recently benefitted from a period of intense regeneration. With much-improved transport links (including the smart new East London Line) and the 2012 Olympics bringing ever more investment to the area, Hackney is set to remain on the commercial property map.
For workers, there are a variety of amenities on offer in the Borough, including eateries that range from authentic Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian restaurants to French delis and organic cafes. If none of these take your fancy, Broadway Market has over 80 stalls serving a rich variety of food and other goods. After work, you can head to one of the many lovely pubs Hackney boasts, or perhaps a gallery or theatre for a new and innovative experience. For a bit of exercise, head to one of Hackney’s many green spaces, such as Hackney Marshes, London Fields and the Grand Union Canal.
Commercial Property in Hackney
With all the financial input that has been put into Hackney in recent years, it’s no surprise Hackney has gained popularity amongst businesses – lured to an area that now offers mobility around the capital and variety of facilities and amenities for corporate life. Whether you are looking for studio space, offices, warehouses or industrial units, with the district developing both its business links and office buildings, you too should consider locating in Hackney.
Hackney’s huge warehouses have always proved popular amongst the artist community, who are able to get more space for less money. High-tech communication companies have been quick to move here too, setting up offices where they have access to large enough spaces for their staff and equipment. A range of other companies have blossomed in Hackney, and at the recent Hackney Business Awards, Hackney businesses from bookshops to charities, caterers to web designers, all won gongs.
